Yoshizawa is his most famous tragedy, it tells the story of one man’s struggle to unite a feuding family and ends in each member’s death. Machiga, his most famous comedy tells the story of a slow-witted Ikoma bard who follows an eccentric Ise Zumi through the mountains, the audience is left wondering which character the title refers to and it has sparked considerable debate. Kiichi is well known for his eccentric nature.
